Since 2010, the head office of the HEMA has been located in Number One at the shipyard in Amsterdam. With approximately 600 employees, HEMA is the largest user. The building has a cool look inspired by industrial wholesale buildings from the 1950s. Because the store is located in the same building as the head office, this location lends itself well to testing new set-ups in practice and the store acts as a pilot store. The branch offers the employees of the head office the opportunity to keep in touch with the work floor close to the workplace. This location is also for all residents of the Number One building at the NDSM shipyard.
RentaLite has been commissioned to make the HEMA head office more sustainable by means of LED lighting. The lighting in the entire building is converted to RentaLite LED lighting, saving more than 50% on energy consumption and CO2 emissions. It concerns a total installation of almost 4000 LED products.
